NSW Rural Fire Service Association (RFSA)

The NSW Rural Fire Service Association (RFSA) is managed by its members and is the authoritative voice in representing the volunteers of the NSW RFS.  We are an independent Association of NSW RFS members supporting and advocating for the broader NSW RFS membership. The RFSA works with the NSW RFS to strengthen and protect the people of NSW.

We provide a broad range of operational and welfare support for volunteers and staff, including:

  • Sponsoring training exercises and NSW RFS events
  • Education Scholarships
  • Volunteers’ Family Days
  • Chaplaincy, Counselling and Family Support
  • An Honours and Awards Program.
  • Advocacy
  • Brigade and District Grants Program.

Support the RFSA!

RFS volunteers play a critical role in protecting their local communities, often putting themselves in harm’s way to do so. The generous support we receive from individuals and organisations helps us support and provide for these brave women and men before, during and after community-threatening events. Even small amounts donated to the RFSA can make a huge difference in the lives of these extraordinary Australians.
